Anxious much? Stressed out? or just restless for no reason?



This is my view when I landed in Dunedin. Totally calming right? But no, heck I was a nervous wreck. I got a call from Manila and I was advised that there "might" be some delays with our shipment.The usual stuff. Why oh why ?! Delays in shipment means more money wasted and time lost. And I had to get through the day, not focusing on the meetings at hand but worrying. I think this worrying will cut my life expectancy in half! My other half always remind me what Winston Churchill quoted about worrying too much...

And so why do we worry so much? I think its normal as human beings. We think too far and panic. And imagine all the bad things that can possibly happen . Sounds familiar right? I asked myself, how can i be better at this. I did some research and one of the key things that I lack is meditating. Somehow that sounds so foreign to me. I did a lot of Yoga but never really meditated. Anyway i tried to give it a go. I looked at several Apps and found Calm and HeadSpace. Guess what??! I cant even last 3 minutes in being still while breathing and meditating! hahaha but you get my point right? And that is the reason I am blogging about this. No matter how healthy we eat and our body is fit, our soul also needs nourishment. Maybe you get a sense of calm when you go to church, or take a walk or ran. But whatever it is, I think meditating and giving ourselves a few minutes a day will make a huge difference.
